Welcome to RICA. This Privacy Policy explains how GDESIR Group ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the RICA smart car maintenance application ("the App").

RICA helps you track every service on your vehicle, get personalized reminders, and receive recommendations informed by a global community of drivers. The App is available in multiple languages on the App Store for iOS. An Android version is coming.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: email address and password (or equivalent when you sign in with a provider)
• Profile data: display name, profile picture, language, and preferences relevant to maintenance reminders
• Vehicle and maintenance data: vehicles you add (e.g. make, model, year, identifiers you choose to store), service history, mileage or odometer readings, notes, photos you attach to a service record, and reminder settings
• Community interactions (if enabled): content you choose to share publicly or with other users, such as tips, ratings, or comments, and messages sent through the App

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: features used, screens viewed, searches, and approximate time in the App
• Device information: device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers where allowed, and language settings
• Log data: IP address, access times, and crash or error reports

1.3 Information from Third Parties

If you sign in with Google, Apple, or another provider, we may receive your name and email address (or other identifiers) as permitted by that service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and personalize your RICA experience (vehicles, service log, reminders)
• Send maintenance-related notifications and reminders according to your settings
• Improve recommendations using aggregated patterns and community contributions, as described in the App
• Operate social or community features you choose to use
• Improve reliability, security, and product features
• Respond to support requests and enforce our terms

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Other users: only what you make visible (for example a public profile or shared content), as controlled in the App
• Service providers: hosting, analytics, email or push delivery, and security partners, under contractual obligations
• Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect the safety of users and the public

4. Your Content and Visibility

Information you enter about your vehicles and services is primarily for your account. If the App lets you publish content (reviews, tips, comments), visibility depends on your settings and product design. Non-public data is not shown to other users unless you explicitly share it.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data while your account is active. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period (typically up to 30 days), subject to backups and legal retention needs.

7. Children's Privacy

RICA is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and secure processes to protect your data.
